CONCEPT
Eastern architecture creates shadows, not just spaces. Here, the wall is a dialogue between light and silence. It is the boundary between the outer and inner worlds. The urban fabric is dense, the streets are narrow and crooked, which is no accident.
Along these paths, light penetrates only selectively, while the wind roams freely through its depths. Movement in this city means a transition from warmth to coolness and from noise to silence. This architecture comes from the harsh nature of this environment. Cracked earth became walls, and cracks became paths of life. Windy corridors, windows protected from direct sunlight, a cozy, cool courtyard and large, blank walls - all reflect the wisdom here. The heart of the house is the courtyard. A secret, closed garden under the open sky, where water and flora are the faces of tranquility. It cools both stone and air. Sunlight here is never direct; it is always secondary, filtered and calm. It penetrates through the cracks and gently touches both the outer and inner walls. Here it is an invited guest. The secret garden and other green spaces of the courtyard in this dusty landscape seem like an incredible discovery, where the heavy structure, the water, the flowering lemon tree or date palm, the cat lying in the shade and the old man curled up in a chair are in harmony. This architecture does not shout; it is rather a melody that can be heard if you listen carefully. It is like a prayer that is not spoken out loud, but still has power. These houses tell us how respect for tradition can become a modern way of thinking. How place and time can merge to create a space that, like a person, is strong on the outside and gentle on the inside.
